Installing your efergy electricity monitor is easy and takes only a few minutes. Read the installation guide below or watch the video here.

Step 1: Unpack your efergy wireless electricity monitor. Each box contains a sensor, transmitter and display unit as well as accessories for individual models and an energy efficiency toolkit, including instructions for use.

Step 2: Install the batteries. The elite display unit requires three AA batteries, and the e2 display unit takes three AAA batteries. Each transmitter takes three AA batteries.

Step 3: Attach the sensor to the electricity cable.Go to your meter box. The sensor is a small clip that encircles the “feed” cable. In the UK, the feed cable is the one on the far right-hand side of most meter boxes.Unclip the sensor and put it around the feed cable. Securely clip it closed. Do not force or bend the cables at any point during installation.

Important: If you notice anything unusual in the meter box such as loose wires, exposed cabling, burn marks, holes in the insulating materials or damage to the meter, stop immediately and contact your electricity company.

Step 4: Connect the transmitter to the sensor.Once the sensor is attached to the electricity cable connect the white cable running from the sensor to the transmitter.Take the display unit and press the link button on the reverse side of the display.

The transmission signal symbol (which is similar to those found on mobile phones) will flash for one minute. While the signal symbol is flashing press the learn button on the transmitter and wait until the signal symbol becomes solid.

Your efergy wireless electricity monitor should now be working. Leave the transmitter in the meter box and take the display unit with you so you can begin to understand how much electricity you are using in each room of your home.
